NutriApexa Product Disclaimer
Effective date: 2026-06-21
Last updated: 2026-06-24
This disclaimer explains the limits of the NutriApexa mobile application (the "App") operated by Claudio Torrens, an individual developer based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. It applies whenever you install, access, or use NutriApexa.
NutriApexa is a wellness and nutrition tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not a medical app, and does not provide medical, nutritional, dietetic, psychological, or emergency advice or diagnosis.
1. Not Medical Advice
NutriApexa helps you track food, calories, macronutrients, water, weight, exercise, and related wellness information. The App is provided for informational and self-tracking purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat, cure, monitor, or manage any disease, disorder, injury, or medical condition.
Do not use the App as a substitute for professional medical advice, nutritional counselling, dietetic services, mental-health care, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician, registered dietitian, nutrition professional, therapist, or other healthcare provider with any questions about your health, diet, exercise, weight, medication, pregnancy, allergies, or medical condition.
2. Calorie, Macro, and Weight Targets Are Estimates
Calorie, macro, water, weight, and progress targets shown in NutriApexa are mathematical estimates based on profile information you provide, such as height, weight, age range, activity level, selected goal, and pace. These estimates are not personalized clinical recommendations and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your body or situation.
Results can be affected by inaccurate profile data, changes in metabolism, body composition, medications, pregnancy, breastfeeding, medical conditions, food-label errors, portion-size mistakes, device data quality, and other factors outside the App's control.
3. AI and Food Data May Be Inaccurate
NutriApexa may use AI-assisted features to parse typed food descriptions, voice transcripts, meal photos, nutrition labels, and recipe prompts. AI output is an estimate. It may misidentify foods, ingredients, brands, portions, allergens, preparation methods, calories, macros, micronutrients, or recipe details.
You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and confirming every AI-generated or database-derived entry before saving or relying on it. If you have any allergy, intolerance, medical restriction, religious dietary requirement, or other strict food requirement, verify all ingredients and nutrition information independently.
4. Special Health Situations
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, hydration, exercise, calorie intake, macro targets, or weight-management plan based on NutriApexa, especially if you:
- Are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding;
- Are under 18;
- Have or may have an eating disorder or history of disordered eating;
- Have diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease, metabolic disease, or another condition requiring monitored nutrition;
- Use medication that affects appetite, weight, hydration, blood sugar, heart rate, blood pressure, or metabolism;
- Have food allergies, intolerances, or medically prescribed dietary restrictions;
- Are an athlete, bodybuilder, or person with specialized nutrition needs.
5. No Emergency Use
If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
NutriApexa is not designed for emergencies, urgent health decisions, clinical monitoring, or detecting dangerous symptoms. Do not delay seeking professional care because of information shown in the App.
6. Apple Health, Device, and Third-Party Data
If you grant permission, NutriApexa may read selected Apple Health data such as steps, active energy, workouts, weight, body mass index, and dietary energy, and may write confirmed weight, water, or dietary energy entries. Apple Health, device sensors, food databases, barcode sources, recipe providers, and public data sources may contain errors, interruptions, missing values, or outdated information.
NutriApexa does not guarantee the availability, completeness, or accuracy of Apple Health data or third-party information. Your use of third-party services is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
7. No Guaranteed Results
NutriApexa does not guarantee any specific nutritional, fitness, weight-management, health, medical, psychological, performance, or wellness outcome. Your results depend on many factors outside the App's control, including your health, behaviour, environment, medical care, genetics, food accuracy, activity, sleep, stress, and consistency.
8. User Responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether NutriApexa is appropriate for you, entering accurate information, verifying food and nutrition details, using reasonable judgment, and consulting qualified professionals when needed. You should stop using any App suggestion that feels unsafe, extreme, unrealistic, or harmful.
9. Relationship to Terms and Privacy Policy
This disclaimer supplements the NutriApexa Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this disclaimer and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use govern to the maximum extent permitted by law.
